Custom graphite hot press mold 03

Capability Highlights

  • Custom graphite blocks, rings, plates, rods, sleeves, nozzles, and fixtures
  • Fine-grain, isostatic, molded, extruded, and high-purity graphite options
  • Small-batch prototyping and repeat OEM production support

Typical Applications

  • Vacuum furnace tooling
  • EDM and mold shops
  • Semiconductor consumables
  • Continuous casting
  • High-temperature fixtures

Engineering Focus

  • Material grade selection by temperature, purity, strength, and wear requirement
  • Dust-controlled CNC machining and edge protection for brittle features
  • Export document review before production release when controlled graphite categories may apply

Selection Logic

OptionBest FitWatchouts
Fine-grain isostatic graphiteTighter details, thin walls, seal faces, threaded features, and parts that need consistent machining response.Confirm minimum wall thickness, corner radii, and inspection datum before quoting fragile geometry.
Molded or extruded graphiteLarger thermal parts, furnace supports, spacers, and cost-sensitive shapes where the drawing allows wider tolerance.Check grain direction, load path, and thermal shock exposure before copying a legacy drawing.
High-purity or treated graphiteSemiconductor, crystal growth, vacuum furnace, and contamination-sensitive programs.Specify purity target, cleaning, packing, certificate expectations, and destination compliance needs at RFQ stage.

Production & QC Flow

  1. Step 1

    Drawing and application review

Check geometry, tolerance intent, operating temperature, atmosphere, purity needs, and export document requirements.

  2. Step 2

    Grade and manufacturability confirmation

Match graphite grade to function, then flag fragile features, thread risks, sharp corners, and unsupported spans.

  3. Step 3

    Dust-controlled graphite CNC machining

Machine with graphite-specific dust control, edge protection, and handling rules for brittle features.

  4. Step 4

    Inspection, cleaning, and export packing

Inspect drawing-critical dimensions, clean handling surfaces as specified, and pack edges, slots, and labels for export shipment.

Key Evaluation Matrix

MetricTypical RangeWhy It Matters
Typical toleranceApplication-specific, drawing controlledGraphite is brittle and porous, so tolerances must match function and inspection method.
Material purityIndustrial to high-purity graphiteSemiconductor, furnace, and crystal growth projects often need low-ash material control.
Feature risk classThin wall, slot, bore, thread, seal face, or exposed edgeFeature class decides grade choice, cutter strategy, inspection focus, and packing protection.

RFQ Checklist

  1. 2D drawing, 3D model, or reference sample photos
  2. Graphite grade or operating temperature and atmosphere
  3. Tolerance, surface finish, threaded features, and fragile edges
  4. Quantity, annual forecast, destination country, and required export documents

Risk Controls

  • Wrong graphite grade selected from a legacy drawing: Confirm application temperature, atmosphere, electrical use, and contamination limits before quoting.
  • Export paperwork gap delays shipment: Check HS code, material specs, end-use statement, and license needs at RFQ stage.
  • Fragile geometry is quoted without DFM review: Flag thin walls, sharp internal corners, threads, unsupported spans, and exposed edges before price and lead time are locked.

Buyer FAQ

Can you machine graphite parts from drawings?

Yes. Send 2D drawings, STEP files, material grade, tolerance notes, and quantity. We can review manufacturability before quotation.

Can you help with export-controlled graphite shipments?

We can prepare order documentation and coordinate a compliance check by HS code, material specification, destination, and end use. Final shipment depends on the applicable rules at the time of export.

Which graphite grade should I request if I do not know the grade?

Start with the operating temperature, atmosphere, purity requirement, mechanical load, wear condition, and electrical or thermal function. Those inputs are enough for an initial grade recommendation and RFQ review.
